Emerging Leaders is an engaging leadership development program designed for students seeking to develop their leadership skills. The program sets out to assist students in four primary areas; intrapersonal skills, interpersonal communication, inclusion and diversity, and professionalism. This six-week program provides students a chance to meet new people, explore new ideas, and become more involved in university-wide leadership opportunities. These opportunities lead to involvement including student government, student organization officer positions, residence hall leadership, and student mentor positions. The Emerging Leaders program is open to all first and second-year students as participants. Graduates of the programs and upperclassman can apply as mentors.
The Spring 2018 semester will host sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00pm-5:30pm.
